Summary:

The post holder shall coordinate a variety of Supply Chain activities across Canada and LATAM region, including collaboration with Global Supply Operations to assure finished pack inventory availability, commercial partners to determine finished pack demand forecasts and logistics/warehousing providers to oversee final-mile delivery activities to customers.

Principal Responsibilities:

Act as the primary Supply Chain interface for demand and supply topics.

  • Demand:
    • Moderate the forecast review process with country/cluster leadership and key regional stakeholders to define SKU level consensus forecasts that can be used for upstream planning [IBP planning horizon 0 - 5 yrs]
    • Ensure solid assumptions on product lifecycle and external/internal influences [such as competitor and market factors, country/cluster promotional activities, strategic decisions and/or business targets] are fully evaluated and built into consensus forecasts
    • Champion deployment of forecast metrics/KPI’s, ensuring full engagement of country/cluster leadership and regional stakeholders to deliver improvements in accuracy
    • Own intake/submission of consensus forecasts into Kinaxis ‘RapidResponse’ software/planning systems

  • Supply:
    • Partner with Global Supply Operations to set and adjust SKU level inventory targets, or guardrails
    • Leverage Kinaxis ‘RapidResponse’ software/planning systems to monitor availability of finished pack inventory in line with targets, escalating risks and providing mitigation strategies as required
    • Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies between an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and third-party Logistics Provider(s) data

  • Final-Mile Delivery:
    • Supervise third-party Logistics Provider(s) to ensure adherence against contractual service levels/KPI’s on inventory accuracy, order fulfilment lead times, invoicing and cash collection
    • Work in close partnership with local/regional Quality and Finance to ensure outsourced services meet regulatory and compliance expectations
    • Identify and execute on saving opportunities to reduce the overall cost-to-serve
    • Lead business reviews
    • Input into country/cluster distribution strategy including contract negotiations/extensions and adjustments to supply agreements

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ work experience within the pharmaceutical sector, preferably in Supply Chain roles
  • Experience of supervising third party Logistics Provider(s)
  • Strong working knowledge of forecasting best practices and tools within a commercially focused environment
  • Experience deploying Sales & Operations planning or IBP processes
  • Experience working with Kinaxis Rapid Response (or similar tools)
  • Strong working knowledge of warehousing, distribution and order-to-cash processes
  • A working knowledge of tendering, contracting and performance management processes
  • Travel (< 15%)
