Senior Specialist Commercial Training & Development

Sales - US Field Based - Bothell, Washington

Summary

As part of the Sales Operations team, this position will play a key role in the Commercial success of Seattle Genetics. This position will support all aspects of Training and Development for the sales teams, as it relates to the analysis, development, and presentation of actionable insights in support of communicating training program impact and effectiveness while aligning training objectives with brand strategy. The ideal candidate can think strategically about the needs of the business, maintain productive relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, and possesses the skills to unlock and communicate rich, nuanced insights from complex data in a way that drives positive business outcomes in a rapidly changing and competitive oncology market landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define success and execute against established measurement frameworks for role-based, product-specific, leadership and development training programs
  • Dive deep into complex business problems and provide behavior-based training insights to set objectives that are aligned to brand strategies
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to deliver high quality solutions and recommendations to a variety of problems across Commercial training programs
  • Provide analytics expertise and support technical needs for enabling training and development metrics
  • Conduct analyses leveraging disparate sources, technologies, and databases
  • Bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way for the intended audience
  • Conceptualize, develop, and maintain field and HQ facing training and development reporting dashboards
  • Deliver regular reporting and ad hoc analyses of such topics as training effectiveness and other business performance metrics
  • Reconcile divergent demands from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment
  • Primarily work with Training Leadership, Sales and Marketing Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Engage with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering and delivering analytical solutions into production, pilot, and launch, as well as supporting ongoing administration
  • Scope includes independent analysis, problem solving of in-depth evaluation of multiple variables database structure and data warehouse ingestion oversight for all Commercial performance and training data sources
  • Participate in variety of special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  • 3+ years of experience in extracting & manipulating large data sets from various relational databases using SQL.
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry is preferred
  • Strong coding skills in at least one statistical or programming language (Python preferred) to import, summarize, and analyze data
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration, comfortable working in a team environment, and pivoting with rapidly changing business priorities
  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge of data systems/query languages (SQL)
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Ability to distill complex requirements and concepts into user-friendly dashboards and processes
  • Creative problem solver able to handle multiple projects and delegate as needed to support business timelines
  • Able to deliver solutions with a high degree of accuracy and process improvement mentality
  • Persistent, resilient individual who thrives in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment
  • Must be “hands-on” and ready to roll up their sleeves to deliver immediate results
  • Attention to detail; strong prioritization, communication, and organization skills; solid team player
